Department of Library Science

A library is the centre of academic learning where the information is stored, systematically retrieved and disseminated to the authorised clientele. With the inception of the college in 1969-70, the Library also came into existence. The library has a spacious Reading Room, Stack room, reference Section and a circulation counter. The college has a varied collection of valuable books of not only subjects that are taught in the college but also books of general interest and of perennial literary value. The total number of books in the library are around 52000. In addition to these books the library has been subscribing for journals, periodicals including magazines and newspapers.
